Digital radiographs (x-rays) are an important diagnostic tool for dental professionals. Compared to traditional film-based x-rays, digital radiographs expose the patient to much less radiation, can be transferred quickly to other referring doctors or specialists if needed, and can be displayed clearly on a large computer screen.
